Joey Room: 2 - 3 years

  • Designed for children age 2-3 year olds, the Joey Room has three (3) Educators supervising a maximum of 15 children 

  • The room focuses on settling the children into a new environment where they can feel comfortable to develop and extend on all areas of development.

  • Combined with a consistent routine and familiar educators, the children build a sense of security, allowing them to develop their emerging abilities and confidently engage in learning

  • Educators assist with socialisation, toilet training, and self – help skills.

  • We follow the National Quality Framework and our curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework. 

  • The Joey children work towards a list of developmental skills throughout the year which include:
    • Social skills - interacting with other children
    • Language skills - expressing needs and wants verbally
    • Cognitive skills - Name, shape, colour and number recognition
    • Self Help Skills - recognising bag, lunch , packing away etc
  • Reflective evaluations are done daily for your viewing and comment, and photos are displayed via ipads & Kinderloop.
